Zircon sand
Introduction:
Pure zircon sand is usually colorless and transparent crysatl in to tetrahedral prism structure,because of different origin,including the type and quantity of impurities dyed yellow.Orange,red,brown and other colors,hardness7.8,specific gravity 4.6-4.71,1.93-2.01 refractive index,birefringence,direct absorbance;low magnetic susceptibility,the electrical insulatino;melting point of 2550℃.More mineral paragenesis width ilmenite,rutile,monazite,xenotime or inbeach sand,the water-election,magnetic separation beneficiation.The theoretical composition ZrO2 and Sio2,pocessing of small amount of Fe2O2、Cao、AI2O3 and other impurities.In theory,pure zircon sand cotains 67,23%ZrO2 and 32.77%SiO2.
Application:
Zircon sand is widely used in refractory material(called zirconium refractory materials,such as zironium corundum,zirconium refrctory fiber),the foundry industry mold sand,ceramic enamel and manufacturing,in addition to glass,metals(zirconium spong),as well as in the prodution of the zirconium compound(zirconium dioxide,zirconium oxychloride,zirconium,sodium,potassium zirconium fluoride,sulfuric higher).
